Introduction to Lace Knitting

Date: Tuesday September 17, 2024

Time: 12:00-1:00pm

In this one hour class, you will learn the fundamental skills required to get you started with lace knitting.

You’ll learn the increases and decreases used to make intentional holes in your knitting, as well as how to read lace charts and how to see the pattern in your knitting, all while making a dishcloth lace sampler!

Pre-class homework will be required to cast on and knit the border so that you can begin the lace knitting immediately at the start of the class.

Our Group classes are suitable for ages 16 and up. For children under the age of 16, please contact the shop to book a private lesson on one of our class days.

 

Duration/Session: 1 hour session

Project: Dishcloth (will not be completed in class)

Skill Level: must know how to cast on and off, knit and purl

Required Materials:

One 50g ball of worsted weight cotton yarn, 4.0-4.5mm needles of your choice.

10% discount in store on a day that a class is being taken

Minimum of 2 for class to proceed: option for refund or reschedule if minimum not met
