Gauge and Measurements
Date: Saturday February 12, 1:00-3:00pm
For most knitters, a sweater is a very intensive project that can go wrong all too often. But did you know, the issue is usually that we choose the wrong size? In this class you’ll learn how to measure your gauge, and how to best measure yourself to ensure you choose the correct size for your body.
Participants will help each other take measurements, so please bring a tape measure and a pen or pencil!
About Robbie: A knitwear designer and instructor living in Toronto, Ontario, Robbie has designed patterns for Estelle Yarns and Rib Magazine, as well as publishing Architexture: Shape and Design - a knitting pattern book that allows the beauty of the yarn to shine with the shawl; hat and glove patterns designed by Robbie.
Duration/Sessions: 2 hour session
Find a pattern you want to knit, and knit and block the swatch in advance of the class.
Skill Level: Intermediate.
Knitting and Purling and the ability to differentiate between knit and purl stitches
Minimum of 2 for class to proceed: option for refund or reschedule if minimum not met
*must show proof of double vaccine to attend class in store
