Learning to Finish Your Projects Like A Pro!
Date: Saturday January 18, 1:00-3:00pm
In this two hour class, Robbie will walk you through the finer details of knitting that an make or break or project. Learn how to create perfect seams, how to weave in ends when you have finished your project, and how to block your project to make it look it's best!
Sometimes your best bet for finishing technique actually happens on the needle, so you will also learn to work a three needle bind off as an alternative to seaming your FO; how to weave in your ends as you knit and techniques for eliminating ends all together - such as splicing the yarn.
Duration/Sessions: 2 hour session
Materials:
20g of worsted weight yarn
4.0 - 4.5mm needles
Several spare knitting needles
Scrap yarn in contrasting colours
4.0mm crochet hook
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Several locking stitch markers
Homework:
Upon registration for the class, you will be sent a handout to prepare five swatches to knit prior to the class.
We recommend knitting it in worsted weight yarn on 4.5mm needles.
Skill Level:
Comfortable casting on, knitting, purling and casting off.
