Fair Isle Knitting
Date: Saturday March 15, 10:00am – 12:00noon
In this 2 hour class, you’ll learn the art of stranded colour work knitting, while making a quick and simple coffee cozy. Working in the round, you’ll learn to follow a colour work chart, stranding two yarns throughout the work to create interesting colour patterns.
Our Group classes are suitable for ages 16 and up. For children under the age of 16, please contact the shop to book a private lesson on one of our class days.
Robbie Laughlin is a knitwear designer, instructor and photographer from Toronto. He has designed patterns for many sources, including mittens, shawls, scarves and other accessories.
Duration/Sessions: 2 hour session
Project: Knitted Coffee Cozy
Skill Level: Must know how to knit and purl. Previous experience knitting in the round is highly recommended.
Required Materials: 4.5mm double pointed needles, or 32” circular needle for magic loop, two contrasting colours of worsted weight yarn (20g per colour), tapestry needle and scissors.
Minimum of 2 for class to proceed: option for refund or reschedule if minimum not met
