Sashiko Mending

In this two hour class, students will learn how to apply a patch using Sashiko Embroidery techniques to stitch a fun design.
Topics covered include pinning the patch in place, marking your chosen design, and working the stitches to join the patch on top of your fabric.
Students can bring an item they’d like to mend, or a small square piece of fabric to work on.
Our Group classes are suitable for ages 16 and up. For children under the age of 16, please contact the shop to book a private lesson on one of our class days.
Robbie Laughlin is a knitwear designer, instructor and photographer from Toronto. He has designed patterns for many sources, including mittens, shawls, scarves and other accessories.
