Toe Up Socks
Date: Saturday October 26, 12:30-3:30pm
In this 2 hour class, you’ll learn to start a sock at the toe! Using a baby sized sock, you’ll learn the basics of toe-up sock knitting, including how to cast on a seamless toe, shape a gusset, turn a heel, and bind off loosely for a perfect sock!
Our Group classes are suitable for ages 16 and up. For children under the age of 16, please contact the shop to book a private lesson on one of our class days.
Robbie Laughlin is a knitwear designer, instructor and photographer from Toronto. He has designed patterns for many sources, including mittens, shawls, scarves and other accessories.
Duration/Sessions: 3 hour session
Project: Infant/Ornament sized sock
Skill Level: Must know how to knit and purl. Previous experience knitting in the round is required.
Required Materials: 4.0mm double pointed needles, or 32” long circular for magic loop, 20g of worsted weight yarn. You must be comfortable with the method of knitting in the round that you choose prior to this class!
Minimum of 2 for class to proceed: option for refund or reschedule if minimum not met
