Afterthought Heel

In this 2 hour class, you’ll learn how to add an Afterthought Heel to your sock tube.

 

For many, the turning of a heel can be intimidating when knitting socks.  The Afterthought Heel is a wonderful solution to avoid this step!

Homework will be required to knit a tube, so that you can see how you can easily secure your stitches, cut into the tube, and create a perfectly fitting heel.

Our Group classes are suitable for ages 16 and up. For children under the age of 16, please contact the shop to book a private lesson on one of our class days.

Duration/Sessions: 2 hour session

Project: Infant/Ornament sized sock

Skill Level: Must know how to knit and purl. Previous experience knitting in the round is required.

 

Required Materials: 4.0mm double pointed needles, or 32” long circular for magic loop, 20g of worsted weight yarn.  You must be comfortable with the method of knitting in the round that you choose prior to this class!

 

Minimum of 2 for class to proceed: option for refund or reschedule if minimum not met
